New spelling quest prototype on the way!! I put all of this together today which I'm pretty proud of how fast and smooth things went. It felt really good to get in the zone and work on fun stuff :) Red bars are health for player and enemy while the blue timer shows when the enemy is about to attack. New spells to heal and dodge (shown when player turns red) :D

Messing around in nomad and procreate! Made a little guy

Some game dev and some not game dev to show off :) Finished the player and enemy health bars that react to the damage being done. I think I'll add empty ones behind them. And a gundam beetle that my boyfriend made and then I wanted to draw it! :)

Not much to show. Working a little on Spelling Quest trying to get something working for showing the health decreasing. Thought about masks but I have to work with them a little more.

More wizarb work! Figured out 2D lighting and I think it looks pretty nice :) Also reworked the battle system so scripts aren't passing references to the enemy lists between each other a whole bunch. Don't ask why I had it like that in the first place, I do not know.

Also I forgot if we're allowed to get points from following tutorials so here's a camera peek I did today. I really like Unity's new input system :) It feels really organized.

Spelling quest start screen! Not my fav but figured I would post it to showoff anyways.

Battle system is basically working now! It grabs all the enemies near the player when the player collides with an enemy and plops them over to the battle screen. Plus a showcase of my debug spell.

Battle system progress for spelling quest! Everything's working but no actual spell casting is implemented yet. Thanks to @fauxlanx for writing the duplicate liver spell.

I would love some input on the art direction for this battle screen! I really like the spell book asset I made so I'm married to that, but I'm unsure which direction to go for the background. I also really like the 3D text because it looks like its magically floating off the page, but I'd love some advice on colors/materials to make it fit better with the rest of the art.

Updated the wizard's design and colors. Also trying to implement a floaty hat. It's currently just following the player using MoveTowards and moving with the rigidbody. Any suggestions on how to make it look more "floaty" are much appreciated

Working on spelling quest again :) I modified a free tileset and put it thru the project to give make it match with my wizarb more
