This is an old project that I started about 2 years ago and finally got around to getting it to a playable state today and yesterday.
It's a [CHIP-8](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CHIP-8) emulator. CHIP-8 is basically a very small instruction set that people made game roms for. It's often recommended to people as a "your first emulator project" because it's one of the easiest instruction sets with the most resources available about it.

I've now gotten it to a point where it can run every rom I've found. There are some test roms to test that your instructions work correctly, and my emulator passes *most* tests.

The main functionality that I'm missing right now is sound. CHIP-8 can make a single toned beep. I haven't done that yet and it's not super high priority.

In the future, I'd like to change over to using SDL to create and render the window along with imgui so that I can have a bunch of debug information, pausing/playing, loading roms, cpu speed, settings, etc. in the emulator window next to the game.
